Many players worldwide are dividing their time between snooker and billiards. Most of them decide to jump onto the professional snooker career because it provides lot of scope to reach greater heights. On the other side, there are only limited number billiards tournaments in a calendar year. A guy playing billiards can live only if he wins all tournaments. But if he cannot do that, then he must work as an employee in one of the companies. Though Billiards is the oldest of two, somehow people don’t see it as their career. Snooker’s always has much bigger scope. A player can earn enough money by doing well in couple of tournaments. The officials of the governing body have introduced a new rule of having six red balls rather than 15 on the table. This new format has not only ensured shorter frames but also has brought young and new audiences to the sport.
