Sachin Tendulkar- The God of Cricket

Sachin Tendulkar is undoubtedly the god of cricket. People who are familiar with cricket will definitely know his achievements and records. Other than his heroic representation in cricket, Sachin has remained as the most charismatic figure in India. He has been by far the number one sports person in the country for nearly a decade. But these achievements and accolades sit lightly on Sachin. By nature he is simple and modest. I have not seen any cricketer coming to the field on the very next day after his father’s death and scoring a century for his country. But Sachin did this for the crucial match against Kenya during the 1999 world cup. This revealed his commitment and passion for the sport.
His batting has been a night mare of the bowlers across the globe. Prodigiously gifted as a cricketer, Sachin currently holds the record for the most number of runs in both test and one day cricket. Records are meant to be broken, but Sachin’s records will be there for some time. He is the wall in the Indian batting line up for nearly 20 years. In all these years he played, he has inspired thousands of young kids. His contribution to India and Indian cricket is immeasurable.
